In a 10 round blood soaked war, Carlos "Famoso" Hernandez (44-4-1,24 KO's) took a hard fought split decision over Juan Carlos Ramirez (36-6,14 KO's). From round 2 on, the

Super Lightweights were covered with the blood of Famoso, who fell victim to an "unintentional headbutt" right away. From that point on the bout went back and forth on the judges scorecards, it looked as though just when one of the bloody fighters would gain an advantage, the other would mount an attack and pull the momentum back into his corner.
In every clinch, and there were many to speak of, it looked as though Ramirez was trying to cause further damage to Hernandez's cuts by rubbing his head upside the open wound, all the while Carlos was trying to keep his head out of harms way!

For all the hard work the fight went to the judges scorecard after 10 and they announced a split decision in Famoso's favor 95-94 & 96-93 for Carlos and one score of 96-94 for the foul prone Ramirez.
