The entry music for Samuel Peter could not have been more prophetic, the repeated line, "The harder they come, the harder they fall," would ring so true in just a matter of minutes. You would have never guessed that Jeremy Williams thought for a moment that this young Nigerian fighter could lay a hand on the seasoned vet. Williams was cocky in days leading up to the bout and when he climbed into the ring he
danced and paraded around and he purposely shoved his way through the Peter entourage that was in the ring before the fight and he made sure to get as close as he could to Peter, glaring at the prospect with a disrespectful smirk! At the same time Peter merely looked away, choosing not to engage in any pre-fight stare down. This would prove to be a humble and wise choice in just a matter of moments.

As the first round began Williams was testing the water but quickly learned that it could get deep really fast! After getting tagged with a right hand, Williams chooses to box, and he does a pretty good job of it for most of the remainder of round 1 as he slipped and ducked his way in and out of Peter's punching range, and with the exception of a small barrage at the end of the round, Williams came out of it unscathed! Little did anyone in the arena realize that in less than 90 seconds, this fight would come to a grinding halt!

As the bell for round 2 rang Williams took on the role of a boxer again and Peter just kept stalking, patient and with a purpose. Peter then throws a lead right hand which Williams ducks under with the greatest of ease, but as he brought his head back up he left his hands by his knees and got nailed with a left hook that has "KO Of The Year" written all over it! Jeremy was out! For more than 5 minutes he remained prone on the canvas, and when he got up, he stayed on his stool for another 10. Kudos to the classy boxing fans in attendance who applauded upon Williams revival from his unconscious state.

After the fight, Williams, who is known as "Halfman,Half Amazing," said he was half embarrassed, and that he just might be "done!" And Peter of course, says he wants Vitali Klitschko, who doesn't? With the dramatic KO, Peter takes his record to 21-0, 18 KO's and Williams falls to 41-5-1, 36 KO's.
