Winky vs. Tito 2 ?
No Need To Play This Tune Again!

Story and Photos by Will "The Thrill" Trillo

At last nights post fight press conference, Promoter Don King was already trying to sell the rematch of this one sided bout won handily by Winky Wright. King likened the fight to a fine classical violinist playing his Stradivarius violin and giving a virtuoso type performance! He claimed the public would demand another performance on the fine hand crafted instrument, "Encore! Encore," King yelled!
To me, last nights fight was more like a concert by The Who. If you have seen them you know that Lead Guitarist Pete Townsend has been known to perform a mind boggling guitar solo and then smash his instrument onto the stage, destroying it before our very eyes!

That's what I saw Winky do this Saturday night. Wright played a tune on the once finely tuned Trinidad all night long, and all though he didn't completely smash him to bits, he did render the once fine Puerto Rican talent useless and it's hard for me to believe that anyone will be asking for an encore for this one!

Apparently we are going to get one whether we like it or not, from the moment King took the stage at the post fight, up to and including the time that Wright thanked everyone, it was made perfectly clear that a rematch is next up, and there is no reason for anyone to believe that it won't be the same song and dance!

Winky's southpaw style and immaculate defense was more than Trinidad could deal with. For all his greatness and power, Trinidad has always been pretty much the same fighter and it doesn't look like he has added a thing to his repertoire and there is little chance he is going to be adding any new tunes to his song list.
There's really not much more that you can say about this one, Winky dominated from the opening number and was in control all the way until the curtain call.

In a perfect World, Winky would get the winner of the Hopkins/Taylor battle as a reward for his performance this weekend. But you and I both know that we do not live in a perfect World!
"Only In America!"

The one thing that could stop the Maestro Don King from trying to force that opera on us again is if his main instrument, Felix Trinidad, should make good on the circulating rumors that he will again retire. We will keep a close watch on that one for you and let you know the details as they come in.

Zab Has A Blast
At Cosme's Expense

IBF/WBA/WBC Welterweight Champ Zab Judah put Cosme Rivera on the seat of his pants twice in the first round and from that point on Judah toyed with Cosme like a playful kitten bats around a helpless field mouse. And just like the cat, when Zab got tired of playing with his hapless foe he quickly disposed of him in round 3, then he turned his back and walked away, looking for his next victim.

At the post fight press conference it was clear that De La Hoya is the first choice for the undisputed Champion. Apparently that's the only choice for King who didn't even know the name of the WBO 147 pound Champ, a guy by the name of Antonio Margarito.

Singwangcha Quietly Moves Into WBC TOP 135 Slot!
Sirimongkol Singwangcha has now put himself into contention for a shot at the 135 pound title with his seventh round TKO over Michael Clark. The quiet fighter put on a fine display Saturday night and if you don't know about this guy yet, you should take note! He is a true gentleman outside the ring and his performance in the ring shows he is serious about his profession and should not be overlooked in the 135 pound division.
