If Knockouts and blood are what you like to see when you go to the fights, then All Star Boxing put on a show Friday night at The Quiet Cannon in Montebello that was truly a night for you. From top the bottom this night of local fights was brimming with action that left the crowd cheering all the way through.

The Main event was brought to a halt early as a headbutt in the first round opened an ugly gash over Jr. Welters Freddie Barrera's eye and before Francisco Zepaeda could take advantage of the accidental butt the fight was stopped by the doctor midway through round three and the bout was declared a technical draw.

In a hot woman's fight 114 pound Rita Valentini fought courageously through a bloody nose but came up on the short end of a six round decision that was awarded to new California State champ Heather Percival. Stay tuned for video of this entire exciting bout.

In a Jr. Welter scrap Hector Serrano remained undefeated against pro debuting Cesar Garcia who gave it his best shot but was up against a polished fighter who made quick work of the night with a 1st round KO.

We also will have video of this battle coming soon.

In a Super Welter battle a tough Nam Phan outworked Andrew Stafford and was awarded a 4 round decision.

Nam put Stafford down with a wicked body shot in round 4 but the fallen fighter got to his feet to last out the final round.

In a lightweight affair Brian Ramirez overcame the tough attack of Ron Scoedang and put him down for good before the first round could come to an end.

In a Bantam weight 4 rounder Kristian Magallon decisoned Tonik Utrudzhyan in another good scrap that saw Tonik kiss the deck in the first round.

The opening battle was in the Super Bantam division and it set the tone for the entire night. Greg Dzuibek had Frank Gutierrez down twice in round one but it wasn't enough as Gutierrez came back strong and bloodied his foe before he put the finishing touches on him at 2:51 of round three.

This night was just what the doctored ordered and the next All Star bout on June 22 should not be missed.  We suggest you call now for tickets, 323-816-6200
