With his promoter Gary Shaw sitting front row ringside, the highly touted and undefeated Jr. Welterweight Timothy Bradley (19-0, 11 KO's)  kept his undefeated record intact as he stopped Kenya's Nasser Athumani (15-4-1, 13 KO's)  at the mid point of the scheduled 10 round Main Event  at The Double Tree Hotel in Ontario California.

The Thompson Boxing Promotions Bradley knew he was in a fight right away as Athumani tagged Bradley with a couple shots that Desert Storm admitted after the fight were wobbling his knees.

After a firm scolding in his corner Bradley settled down and started to slip and counter effectively and his patience began to pay off. Atumani's look changed from that of a fighter on the verge of upsetting the hometown guy, to that of a tired fighter who didn't have another plan of attack.

The tide was turning and Bradley was breaking down his foe systematically when all of a sudden, at the 1:35 mark of round found it was over. Bradley connected with a fully extended right hand that caught Athumani flush on his chin...fight over.

Bradley, who has already put Panchito Bojado on Red Alert now looks for the next step on his journey to a shot at the 140 pound title.

In the Semi-Main local favorite Lightweight Dominic Salcido (11-0, 6 KO's) took on an over matched but tough Joel Ortega (4-11, 3 KO's) . Salcido went on to thrill the crowd with his flashy, brash and cocky style while dismantling his game foe.

Salcido wowed the crowd with his slick footwork and hand speed, but it was in the sixth round that he impressed Ortega with a combo that sent him down in the corner. Salcido was penalized a point for hitting his foe while he was down, but it wasn't a point that would come into play as Salcido put the finishing touches on Ortega with the end coming at  2:31 of round 6.

In undercard action Sure Middle Ivan "Sitting Bull" Stovall (7-1, 5 KO's) KO'd Luis Lopez (13-9, 5 KO's) at the end of the third round. Lopez made it back to his corner but his team thought better than to send him out for more punishment and the fight was brought to a halt.

With his trainer Floyd Mayweather Sr. in tow, Las Vegas prospect Angel Flores (7-1) decisioned  Jesse Rivas (2-4-2) over 6 with scores of 58-56 twice, 59-55.

Heavyweight Hildo Silva (4-0) overcame an early knockdown by Cornell Davis (3-10-2) to go on to work out a unanimous decision over four rounds with all scores reading in his favor 38-37 .

Super Bantam Jesus “Pollo” Hernandez (4-0) handily defeated Duma Trevizo (0-4) with a unanimous decision with shout out scores of 40-36 across the board.
