Andrade On Rematch:
"Bute Is Going Down!"

By William Trillo

With an aggressive bid of $1,211,000 Golden Boy Promotions secured the rights to promote the Lucian Bute vs. Librado Andrade IBF Super Middleweight rematch. By outbidding Bute's promoter Interbox who chimed in with a bid of $1,195,000, Golden Boy has shown they are serious about giving their fighter another shot. Said Richard Schaefer CEO of Golden Boy, "The great news is that we won the purse bid and I am happy for Librado to get this well deserved opportunity."

Pound4Pound spoke to Andrade shortly after the announcement and got some very candid thoughts from the IBF #1 contender. "I am so thankful I have this chance to get another shot at Lucien. I want to thank Golden Boy for putting their faith and trust in me, I will not let them or anyone down," he said and then added, "but I am going to put Bute down!" Librado paused then chuckled and stated, "This is going to be a war!"

After their first fight that still has fight fans talking, the rematch should be one of the most anticipated bouts of the year. At press time Schaefer would not confirm if the battle might end up as part of the September Mayweather vs. Marquez affair but he did relate that Golden Boy is working on some ideas for this can't miss 168 pound title thriller.
