Angulo Obliterates Yorgey In 3,
Candidate For KO Of The Year

Alfredo Angulo (now 17-1, 14 KO's) scored a more than impressive knockout over the previously undefeated, but untested, Harry Joe Yorgey in just 3 rounds. Angulo came out strong once the bell rang as Yorgey's plan was to move and box. Angulo pressured Yorgey to fight off the ropes, but Yorgey seemed to back himself there and into the corner often.

In round 2, a huge right hand stopped Yorgey in his tracks and momentarily knocked him unconscious while standing. Yorgey regained his senses before falling to the canvas, but was finally dropped moments later with another big right hand. Up on shaky legs, Yorgey was staggered around the ring as Angulo began beating him to a pulp. Yorgey miraculously made it out of the round, staggering to his corner.

In round 3, the end was near as another huge right staggered Yorgey all the way to the other side of the ring. Yorgey trying to hold on for dear life had no idea what to do. Yorgey back into a corner as a monster left hook knocked Yorgey unconscious once again. Yorgey's eyes were glazed over as another right hand followed by a final left hook landed as Yorgey was falling to the canvas. No need to count, the fight was over at 1:03 of the 3rd.

Yorgey falls to 22-1-1 with 10 KO's and may want to reassess his career, despite it only being his first loss, but also his first big staged event as well.
