The WBO Welterweight champion Miguel Cotto (33-1, 27) looks
on with new trainer Jose Santiago at the Fight Factory
training facilities in Tampa, Florida. It has been three
weeks into an what might say a very intensive camp, Team
Cotto is business as usual, This has been the most focused
Cotto yet, Trainer Jose Santiago working very closely with
Cotto in preparation for his battle with IBF Champion Joshua
“Grand Master” Clottey (35-2, 20 KO’s) from Madison Square
Garden in New York City, live on HBO PPV.
Cotto very pleased with the opportunity to take his camp to
Florida, Has been able to focus specifically on just doing
his job, He appears to be very relaxed here and extremely
focused on Clottey. Three weeks in Cotto has had some
intensive sparring work, Cotto very pleased about continuing
his tradition with fighting the night before New York City
Puerto Rican Parade. Team Cotto has not encountered any
distractions what so ever in camp.
There is certainly a connection between the Champion and
trainer Jose Santiago in my observations they appear to work
very well with each other there is a positive vibe in the
air at Cotto camp which clearly gives a great advantage to
Cotto for his great work in preparing for June 13th.
