Green Takes Jones Down Under
In what can only be described as a huge upset, Danny Green
ruined Roy Jones plans for his rematch with Bernard Hopkins
next year. Jones was taken out at 2:02 of round 1.
The fight started out in usual Jones fashion as he peppered
Green with quick left hands and it looked like Green was
going to have trouble with Roy's speed. But as Green stalked
Jones to the corner he unleashed a clubbing right hand that
put Roy down in a heap. Jones got to his feet but he was
clearly out and could do little to ward of the relentless
Green and after about 45 seconds of pummeling the ref
stopped the fight and thus ended the charade the Roy Jones
has been perpetrating on the boxing public over his last few
fights.
Quite frankly Jones needs to go away, far away. His tired
act over his last few fights has been annoying at best. The
once pound4pound great has embarrassed himself and his fans
for the last time...hopefully.
No telling how this will affect Bernard Hopkins performance
tonight, but win lose or draw you can expect
B-Hop to bypass the hapless Jones now.
