Shutout Over "Queenpin"

Vitali Klitschko (now 39-2, 37
KO's) won a 12 round blowout over undeserving challenger,
the pathetic Kevin Johnson. The fight was dull as Johnson
was adamant on fighting off the ropes, somehow thinking he
would win rounds based on defense. Sorry, Willie Pep you are
not. Johnson would get hit over and over with jabs and right
hands to the head, continuously in every single round as he
leaned against the ropes for half the fight. The other half
Johnson spent bent over with his head by Klitschko's waist.
Who knows what other ulterior motive he had by doing this
other than to avoid getting hit, but one can only imagine.
Johnson would throw one to two jabs at a time only,
averaging about 5 jabs per round. And that was it, with the
exception of a counter right hand every other round. Johnson
nodded his head to Klitschko often, even smiling and making
faces along with remarks, as if he was actually
accomplishing something. I guess if you consider he is only
the second opponent Klitschko has beat that didn't end up
with a knockout loss on his record, then way to go Johnson.
Final scores were 120-108, 120-108 and an odd 119-109. What
single round could Johnson have possibly won? That's about
as bad of scoring as giving Martinez only one round in the
Williams fight. No, seriously.
Johnson falls to 22-1-1 with 9 KO's.
