Thurman Dominates Barros In
Tampa

Tampa, Fl: Undefeated
welterweight fighting out of St. Petersburg, Florida.
Keith “One Time” Thurman was taken into deep waters for
the first time in his pro carrier, winning an 8th round
unanimous decision over tough Brazilian Edvan Barros on
One Punch Productions and Fight Factory’s final
“Ballroom Brawl” of 2009. Thurman dropped Barros with a
hard body shot in the 7th round; Barros battled back and
fought hard by taking Thurman to the final bell. Judges
scores were 80-71, and 79-72 twice. With the victory
Thurman goes to 11-0, 10 KO’s.
Cruiserweight Nick “Show
Stopper” Iannuzzi (13-1, 8 KO’s) comes back strong from
his knockout loss a few months ago with a statement
crushing knock out over “The Contender” alumni Michael
Alexander (12-4). Iannuzzi floored Alexander quickly in
the 2nd round, Alexander managed to his feet by the
count of 10, but was in no shape to continue and the
bout was waved off.
In a battle of unbeaten
jr. lightweights, Nate Campbell, Voo Doo Management
prospect Cordaro Simpkins (3-0) won the UD over Caguas,
Puerto Rico young Edgardo Rivera (2-1, 2 KO’s) taking
his first fight in the U.S. came up short.
Olympian Sherali Dostiev in his pro debut made his way
into the Bantamweight division by taking out Sergio
Aguilar from Mexico.
Tampa Bay’s young Heavyweight Lamar Davis goes to (4-0)
in a split decision over Roy Boykins from Vero Beach,
Fl.
St. Petersburg, Fl. Manny “Shake Em up” Woods (2-0, 1
KO) stops Jason Wahr in the 1st round.
Quinton Willis remains undefeated by crushing Khristian
Geraci with TKO in the 1st round.
