Rafael Marquez (38-5,34 KO's) utterly destroyed Israel Vazquez (44-4,32 KO's) inside of 3 rounds and anyone who didn’t see this coming needs to have themselves checked. For those of you who did see this coming and chose to allow this fight to happen, well you need to have yourselves checked too. It was a great trilogy but to allow this fight to go into a fourth edition is nothing more than blatant greed. That’s greed from the promoters, Showtime, The Managers and everyone else who lined their pockets from this fight.

Officially the bout was stopped at 1:33 mark of round three. Marquez was in complete control and the gallant Vazquez was a bloody mess. Israel went down once before the fight was stopped. What more do you want me to tell you?

The title of this fight was “Once and Four All”, a witty little play on words that I am sure everyone involved thought was pretty cute. I want to let you all know that the term Once And For All means to bring to a conclusion. Finito! End.

You took two very well established and sure fire Hall of Famers and wrung them out until they had nothing more to give and hung them out to dry. You should all be very proud.

And to any of you who say that now the series is tied up and we should have them fight a fifth time…SHAME ON YOU!
