“Round 12” Press
Conference In Cozumel, Mexico; Andrade & George Meet For The
First Time
Report & Photos By William Trillo
It will all be on the
line Saturday night in an IBF Super Middleweight Title
Eliminator Battle as Librado Andrade (30-4, 23 KO's) and
Don "Da Bomb" George (22-1-1, 19 KO's) will square off
in what is sure to be a no holds barred night of boxing
on Mexico’s isle known as Cozumel.
One local reporter tried to get the fireworks started
early when he told Librado he respected him as a fighter
but hoped he had no respect for George in the ring on
Saturday night.
Andrade would have none
of that when he answered, “I have a lot of respect for
every fighter I face in the ring, this is a hard
business and I know how hard we have to work to get
here. I respect Donovan as a fighter but of course it is
my goal to come out victorious on Saturday night.”
George told the fans in
Mexico this is the moment he has been waiting for, “ I
have watched Andrade fighting since I was young and I
have always been a fan of his and I respect what he has
done. With that said this is the moment I have been
waiting for and I am looking to defeat Librado so I can
get my shot at Lucian Bute.”
Fans in Cozumel can see the fight live for as little as
