Altidor Obliged To Take His Retirement

MONTRÉAL — The Montrealer super middleweight Louisbert Altidor confirmed Wednesday morning his decision to take his retirement.

A fighter of 31 years old, Altidor has been hospitalized last week after a training session in Montréal. He was suffering of a severe vascular brain trauma. His doctor told him it was a must to end immediately his boxing career.

Former football player, Altidor, who fought 70 times in the amateurs, completed his pro boxing career with a record of 9-2-0. At his last bout, June 6th at the Montréal Casino, Altidor won by unanimous decision against the Mexican Jesus Manuel Beltran (5-2-0).
