Garcia Stays Undefeated

The Montrealer lightweight Golden Garcia increased his pro record to 11-0-1 with a victory by TKO in the seventh round over the Mexican Adalberto Borquez (29-18-1) Saturday evening at the Tohu Bar in Montréal. This boxing show has been organized by the Rixa Group Promotions. Garcia hopes to dispute a North American championship in 2019.

Jean-Michel Bolivar, a super middleweight from Montréal, suffered of his first loss in pro boxing (3-1-0). He lost by unanimous decision in four rounds against Jean-Michel Poiulin (2-2-2), also from Montréal.

Mohamed Soumaoro, a super lightweight living in the West Island of Montréal, scored his fifth win in pro boxing (5-0-0), in beating the Mexican Javier Pena (11-11-0) by unanimous decision in six rounds.

The Montrealer super welterweight Kevin Menoche (2-0-0) won by KO in the second round against another Montrealer, Samuel Vazquez (1-4-0).

The super middleweight Tommy Houle, from Joliette, Québec, improved his pro record to 2-0-0 in beating Marco Parente (1-3-1), from Woodbridge, Ontario, by unanimous decision in four rounds.

The fight between the Montrealer super lightweight Roody Pierre-Paul (16-3-2) and the Mexican Jesus Laguna (22-11-3) finished by a draw.

Super welterweight Jordan Balmir (9-0-0), from Drummondville, Québec, stayed undefeated, beating the Montrealer Francesco Cotroni (12-10-1) by unanimous decision.

The opening bout of the evening opposing the Montrealer middleweight Adam Ayoubi to Alex Ebanks, from Toronto, finished by a draw.

A judge score the fight 39-37 for Ebanks, another one scored the bout 39-37 for Ayoubi and the third one got a score of 38-38.

Ayoubi was making his pro debut.
