  Cloutier’s Canada Corner
Kean Will Fight Alexis Santos
Instead Of Solomon Aumono

By Daniel Cloutier

MONTRÉAL - The situation changed for the heavyweight Simon Kean, from Trois-Rivières, Québec. Kean (12-0-0) was supposed to fight Solomon Aumono (24-4-2), from Auckland, New Zealand, February 10th in Shawinigan (15 miles from Trois-Rivières), but he will get a more significant bout. He will fight Alexis Santos (18-2-0), from Lawrence, Massachusetts, in an IBO Inter-Continental heavyweight championship.

The news has been confirmed by the promoter of The Eye Of The Tiger Management Group in Montréal, Camille Estephan.

Apparently, Aumono has decided to stop his pro boxing career.

Just before the main event, the Montrealer super welterweight Steven Butler (21-1-0) will face the Mexican Uriel Gonzalez (16-3-1).

The super lightweight Mathieu Germain (12-0-0), the light heavyweight Vincent Thibeault (2-0-0), from Québec City, the middleweight Clovis Drolet (4-0-0), also from Québec City, the super featherweight François Pratte (5-0-0), from Trois-Rivières, the middleweight Jordan Balmir (7-0-0), from Drummondville, Québec, and the Montrealer female Kim Clavel (1-0-0) will fight on the preliminaries bouts.
