Lafrenière Will Face Martinez

MONTRÉAL - The former NABO North American middleweight champion, Francis Lafrenière, will dispute his next bout November 24th at the Montréal Casino, against the Mexican Gabriel Martinez.

It will be the main event of this boxing show organized by the GYM Group.

At his last bout, October 20th also at the Montréal Casino, Lafrenière improved his pro record to 17-6-2 in beating the Brazilian Samir Dos Santos Barbosa (37-15-2) by KO in the first round. On his side, Martinez (29-11-1), who has the reputation to be a tough fighter, compiled a record of 2-10 at his last 12 bouts.

Just before the fight Lafrenière-Martinez, the Montrealer Russian Vislan Dalkaev (9-1-0), a super bantamweight (122 pounds), will fight the Mexican Jonathan Aguilar (19-7-0), and Devin Tomko (5-0-0), from Ottawa, will challenge the Montrealer cruiserweight Augustin Malecot (3-7-1).

The other fighters involved in this boxing show will be the super middleweight (168 pounds) Tommy Houle (4-0-0), from Sainte-Beatrix, Québec, the Montrealer super middleweight Jean-Michel Bolivar (5-1-0), the cruiserweight (190 pounds) Yan Pellerin (3-1-0), from Granby, Québec, and finally the Montrealer super lightweight (140 pounds) Mazlum Akdenis (6-0-0).
