It’s Confirmed: Pascal vs. Bossé
Will Be Presented July 20 In Laval
By Daniel Cloutier
MONTRÉAL - It’s now confirmed, the fight between the
Montrealers Jean Pascal (32-5-1) and Steve Bossé (1-0-0)
will be presented July 20th at Place Bell in Laval, a
Montréal northern suburb. The news has been confirmed by the
promoter of the GYM Group, Yvon Michel.
The event was originally scheduled for June 29th, but Bossé,
a former UFC champion, could not fight that night, because
his boxing license is expired. The GYM Group has been
obliged to postpone the event. The Québec Athletic
Commission (Régie des sports de combat) will give to Bossé a
new boxing licence at the beginning of July.
Pascal is a former WBC light heavyweight champion of the
world (175 pounds), but he will move up in the cruiserweight
division (190 pounds) to face Bossé. A lot of people believe
that the crowd will be bigger July 20th than June 29th,
because a lot of people take their holidays in July.
