Stevenson vs. Jack In Montréal

MONTRÉAL - The promoter of the GYM Group in Montréal, Yvon Michel, confirmed that the WBC light heavyweight championship of the world opposing the Montrealer southpaw Adonis Stevenson to the Swedish African Badou Jack, will be presented May 19th at Bell Centre in Montréal. For Stevenson (29-1-0), it will be the ninth defense of his 175 pounds WBC world championship.

Stevenson became WBC champion of the world in 2013 in Montréal, when he beat the American Chad Dawson by KO in the first round.

The fight Stevenson-Jack will be televised by Showtime.

Former WBA champion of the world, Jack (22-1-2) is actually ranked second contender by the WBA, fourth by the WBC and fifth by the IBF.
