My opponent is a strong puncher, but trust me, I will do what is necessary to win this fight.”

Murtazaliev is ranked sixth contender by the IBF and fourth by the WBO. “This IBF elimination bout is certainly the most important moment in my pro boxing career,” said Muirtazaliev. “The winner of this bout will be in position to dispute eventually a world championship bout. I will give everything to be in the winning’s corner.”

Eric Gomez, Oscar De La Hoya assistant, is also impatient for this boxing show. “The main event, the fight Canelo-Kovalev will be a historic moment in boxing, but believe me, the undercard is promising a lot of action. Before the main event, the crowd will see five significant bouts, fights which will help the winners to improve their position in the international ratings.”

Kathy Duva, Sergey Kovalev’s promoter with Main Event, agrees with Eric Gomez. “This event will be a memorable moment in boxing, no doubt about it,” said Duva. Canelo-Kovalev is a historic moment in boxing, and the undercard will certainly provide great action. I am very excited to be here today.”
