Miguel Berchelt (38-1, 34 KOís) stepped up in weight to take on Lightweight Eleazar Valenzuela (21-14-4, 13 KOís) in a non-title stay busy bout. As expected Berchelt threw a bevy of punches in every round as he overwhelmed a game Valenzuela.

A triple left hook at the end of round one by Berchelt put Valenzuela on the seat of his pants as the bell rang. After that Berchelt went on a body attack that left visible welts on the body of his hapless foe. The carnage would last through round six; that was when Berchelt unleashed a one two combo that buckled the knees of Valenzula as he collapsed into the ropes. At that point the ref had seen enough and rightly brought the bout to itís conclusion early in the sixth round.

On his victory and whatís next Berchelt stated, "I felt great, but the altitude Mexico City hit me a little bit. It is not easy to fight in Mexico City, but thank God we got the victory. Eleazar is a tough fighter. He endured everything I threw at him. He gained my respect. My experience as world champion pushed me forward. Now what follows is the expected fight against Oscar Valdez, Every fan wants to see that fight and we are ready for that war.Ē

Super Lightweight Omar Alejandro Aguilar (18-0, 17 KOís) destroyed Ham-n-Egger Dante Jardon (32-7, 23 KOís) in the first round of a lopsided bout that didnít even last a minute. Officially the bout was a TKO victory for Aguilar at the 55 second mark of the first. I donít want to hear the fight was stopped too early. as it appeared Jardonís preparation before the fight was Pan Dulce and bed rest.

Super Bantamweights Alan David Picasso (14-1, 5 KOís) and Florentino Perez Hernandez (14-6-2, 9 KOís) opened the show with an eight round slugfest. Both fighters started off quickly and it looked like it was going to be a heated battle. But as the rounds wore on Hernandez wore down and Picasso began to assume control of the show. The six, thatís right SIX judges scored the fight 78-74, 79-73, 79-74 and 80-72 x 3 giving Picasso the unanimous decision win.
