Oscar Rivas Should Fight Romanov
For The WBC Bridgerweight World Title

MONTRÉAL —— The WBC Bridgerweight (224 pounds) champion the world, the Montrealer Colombian Oscar Rivas, should proceed to his first defense of his world title in February. Rivas (28-1-0) is supposed to fight the Russian Evgeni Romanov (16-0-0), who is ranked first contender in this division.

The promoter Yvon Michel, from the GYM Group, should confirmed soon the official date and the official site of the fight. Apparently, the show will be organized February 5th.

Yvon Michel believes he will finalize a deal in the next days with the Romanov’s team. At his last bout, October 22nd at the Olympia Theater in Montréal, Rivas won by unanimous decision of the judges against the Canadian Ryan Rozicki (16-1-0), from Sydney, Nova Scotia.
