MBilli Remains WBC Continental Americas Champion

In the main event of the boxing presented by The Eye Of The Tiger Management, Thursday evening in Gatineau. Québec, the Montrealer Christian MBilli kept his WBC Continental Americas super welterweight (154 pounds) championship, beating the American Deandre Ware from Toledo, Ohio, by TKO in the second round.

MBilli provoked a knockdown in the first round, and two knockdowns in the second round. After this third knockdown, the referee intervened to declare Ware TKO. This TKO was registered at 2.20 minutes of action in the second round.

MBilli still undefeated, with a pro record of 22-0-0, and Ware left the ring with a record of 15-4-2. “Like usual, I fought intensively, and the result is showing it,” said MBilli after the bout. “I am progressing fight after fight. I hope to dispute a world championship bout eventually.”

MBilli is ranked third contender by the WBC in the super welterweight division.

Just before the main event,. Alexandre Gaumont, a fighter from Buckingham, Québec, kept his perfect record (5-0-0), with a win by KO in the first round against the Polish Krzystof Warekso (3-1-1).

Before the fight Gaumont-Warekso, Steve Claggett improved his pro record of 33-7-0, with a win by TKO over the Argentinian Jonathan Jose Eniz (30-18-1).

Finally, Christopher Guerrero make successful debut in pro boxing, beating the Mexican Julian Mendo Salmoran (2-2-1) by TKO.
