"THE GOLDEN BOY" OSCAR DE LA HOYA'S RETURN TO THE RING AND MEGA FIGHT WITH RICARDO MAYORGA; ONE-OF-A-KIND LIMITED EDITION FIGHT WATCH ADDED TO SPONSORSHIP

Los Angeles , CA (May 2, 2006) As sponsors search for unconventional methods within the world of professional sports to promote their brands, IceLink Watch has found a niche in boxing.  The Los Angeles-based jewelry manufacturer has come out swinging again as they announce their continued partnership with Golden Boy Promotions—the boxing promotion company owned by "The Golden Boy" Oscar De La Hoya.  IceLink watch will sponsor the much anticipated De La Hoya vs. Ricardo Mayorga mega-bout on May 6 th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, NV and available on HBO Pay-Per-View.

Sponsorship terms for the championship bout—which marks De La Hoya return to the ring after an 18-month hiatus—includes 750 limited edition IceLink Watch timepieces featuring the two fighters on the clock face (see photo.) These collector items will be at merchandise counters in the MGM Grand and select Las Vegas jewelry stores this week.

IceLink Watch, having invested well over a million dollars in boxing sponsorships thus far—including deals with middleweight great Bernard Hopkins and partnerships with Golden Boy Promotions including Hopkins-Taylor I and II, the Boxing World Cup in 2005 and Mosley-Vargas in early 2006, IceLink Watch has featured its logo on ring mats, ring corner posts, arena jumbotrons, fight t-shirts, event programs, promotional posters, and fighter's robes and shorts.

Trying to add a creative, first-of-its-kind element to the sponsorship, IceLink Watch came up with the watch face as a way to attract the more than 15,000 fans expected to attend the event. "Sponsoring the De La Hoya vs. Mayorga bout and creating this signature watch is an opportunity for IceLink Watch to make its greatest impact on boxing," said IceLink Watch owner Andy Sogoyan. "This timepiece honors one of the greatest fighters in De La Hoya of all times, and gives fight fans an opportunity to own a piece of history."

In addition to De La Hoya-Mayorga, IceLink Watch's future sponsorship plans include the June 10 th Atlantic City showdown between Antonio Tarver and Bernard Hopkins.
