Dear Tszyu Crew,
As I write to you and think about the year now past, I am
reminded how many different things I did and what I achieved. It
has been a very, very busy year for me. I have done lots of
traveling, including five trips to Russia from my home in Sydney
and while I have been extremely busy, I have also been very
happy.
One of the highlights for me in 2006 was the first Crewfighter
sparring event involving the Tszyu Crew at my gymnasium in
Sydney, with people traveling from near and far to be part of
the experience. It was such a great day that we will hold
Crewfighter II in 2007 and I think it will only get bigger and
better every year. I will have more promotions in Russia in 2007
with the continuation of the Kostya Tszyu Cup and I am very
proud of the boxers I have been working with both in Australia
and Russia.
Early in 2006 I spent many hours preparing for and appearing on
the television show “Dancing with the Stars” in Australia. The
experience gave me some insight into the world of television and
I had a great time. I was very proud of reaching the Grand Final
and I could not have gone so far without the support of those
who voted for me.
I have been offered an opportunity to be in the Russian version
of “Dancing with the Stars” but I will probably say ‘no’, as
being in Russia for three months without my wife and my children
Timophey, Nikita and Anastasia would be difficult. Honestly, I
don’t want to go for that long without seeing my wife Natasha. I
am very proud of Natasha, who this year completed a University
Diploma full time as well as looking after the family. She is my
sweet Russian girl and I love her so much.
I have lots of interesting things ahead of me in the new year
and I will be appearing in an action movie for the first time in
Russia. Filming for my role will commence in April and will take
three weeks.
It is going to be exciting for me to be an actor because I have
to learn new skills. I will be doing some acting practice and
for the part I will be playing, I need to learn to work with
Samurai swords. Being a perfectionist in life I want to look
good on film and this means I have to practice a lot.
Like most of you, I will be rushing around over the next week
before Christmas buying presents. If you are looking for a last
minute Christmas gift for someone, don’t forget we have many
items in our on-line shop at www.KostyaTszyu.com, which may be
able to help you.
We also have a new bronze statue memorabilia piece by Surreal
Enterprise Productions. The statue of me in cold cast bronze, is
42cm high and 26cm wide across the wooden base and took a number
of months to complete. The piece is hand sculptured by artist
Tom Lampropoulos and captures me winning my fourth world title
and becoming Undisputed World Champion in November 2001 against
Zab Judah in Las Vegas.
Designed as a high class memorabilia piece, only 50 of the
bronze statues will be made and you can see photos of it and
purchase it now at www.KostyaTszyu.com .
From 6:00pm Australian Eastern Daylight Saving Time (AEDT) this
coming Monday 18th December 2006, I will be live in the
www.KostyaTszyu.com Forum for a web-chat. I will be happy to
answer your questions and we’ll have some prizes as well!

I am really thankful for the support I continue to receive from
the Tszyu Crew, who have supported me throughout my boxing
career and continue to do so. It is an inspiration for me. You
are sincere supporters of mine so deeply and truly my friends.
From the people I see wherever I go, to all of the people who
visit my website, and not just those who are there every day,
every one of you has become family to me. Everywhere I go I have
friends that I can meet with and that makes me very happy.
I am feeling great physically and will be staying in shape with
exercise every day and also by trying not to eat too much at
Christmas.
Merry Christmas to you and your family. Your support means so
much to me.
Remember the Tszyu Crew rules forever!
Your champion,
