Sosnowski To Face Vitali
Klitschko, May 29
Current European heavyweight champion, Albert "The Dragon"
Sosnowski (45-2-1, 27KO) will have the opportunity to
fulfill a life- long dream of becoming heavyweight champion
of the world, when he takes on WBC heavyweight king, Vitali
Klitschko (39-2, 37KO) on May 29th at Veltins Arena, in
Gelsenkirchen, Germany.
The 31-year-old Polish native Sosnowski is promoted by Joe
DeGuardia's Star Boxing (USA), Keyspan Media (Poland) and
Matchroom Sport (UK). Sosnowski is coming off dominating
unanimous decision victory over Paolo Vidoz in December to
pick up the vacant European heavyweight title. Sosnowski
also holds an 8th round TKO victory over Mike Tyson
conqueror Danny Williams, who Klitschko also defeated by 8th
round TKO.
Sosnowski has quick hands for a heavyweight, and at 31 he is
7 years younger then the champion, something that could give
Klitschko problems. Can Sosnowski pull off the upset? Only
time will tell.
