Undefeated Prospect Rodriquez Returns To New Hampshire For Thanksgiving Eve Boxing Spectacular

Boston Boxing Promotions has announced that undefeated junior middleweight prospect LeShawn Rodriquez (11-0, 8 KO's) will be in action on November 27th at the Castleton in Windham, New Hampshire against battle-tested veteran Francisco Javier Castro (28-11, 23 KO's) in an eight-round fight.

Rodriquez, promoted by Main Events, will be competing in his first ever scheduled eight-round bout. This will mark his third consecutive fight in New Hampshire in 2019, having scored a TKO over journeyman Antonio Chaves Fernandez in Windham this past May and a six-round unanimous decision over the durable Jose Medina this past August in Nashua.

“This fight will be my next step towards a world title,” said Rodriquez. “I plan to fight for and win a world title in 2020. I will be the sport’s next superstar.”

Castro, hailing from El Paso, Texas, has been in with the best the sport has to offer including current welterweight world champion Errol Spence and former world title challenger Antonio Diaz. Displaying a willingness to travel for fights, he has earned victories in locations as diverse as Mexico, Puerto Rico, Miami, Panama City, Chicago and Germany, and has held regional championships recognized by the WBC, WBA and IBF.

Castro simply said, “Don't underestimate me.”
