EOTTM Remains Very Active As Several Tigers
Will Be Back In Action In Mexico On Aug. 27

Eye of the Tiger Management is proud to announce that its tigers will return to the Holiday Inn in Cuernavaca for the latest edition of it’s Commando series on Punching Grace on Friday, August 27. Nine duels will be presented on this boxing card where many of the stable's rising stars will be looking to make a name for themselves as they continue to climb the world rankings. This evening will provide boxing fans with an unparalleled proximity to the action and will be capped off by the grand return of Steve "The Dragon" Claggett (29-7-2, 19 K.O.). Thomas Chabot (4-0-0, 4 K.O.), Luis Santana (2-0-0, 1 K.O.), Angel Perez (2-0-0, 2 K.O.), Antonio Perez (1-0-0, 1 K.O.), Christopher Guerrero (1-0-0), Mark Smither (4-0-0), Avery Martin-Duval (4-0-1, 3 K.- O.) and the spectacular Mehmet Nadir Unal (1-0-0, 1 K.-O.) will complete this promising evening filled with athletes who represent the future of boxing in Quebec.

"We have confidence in Steve Claggett even though he lost in a close fight to Germain. We believe that he is capable of accomplishing great things with his new entourage and we are proud that he is fighting on the main event of this card as all his fights are spectacular. Also, our stable has many rising stars and we wanted to reunite them on one card to show the depth of our team. We work hard to stay active and we are proud to once again offer a quality gala to Punching Grace subscribers," said Eye of the Tiger Management President Camille Estephan.

Recovering from his last defeat at the hands of Mathieu Germain on May 15th, Steve Claggett will once again face the music as he has surrounded himself with a new team. The Calgary-born boxer has decided to trust renowned trainer Mike Moffa and his assistant Mickael Gadbois to continue his career. It was at the Underdog Boxing Club, surrounded by several experienced boxers, including his last opponent, Mathieu Germain, that Claggett had the chance to refine his technique to find his way back to victory against the experienced Emanuel Lopez (30-13-1, 14 KOs). Lopez's aggressive boxing style and punching power are two attributes that, combined with the grit for which the man known as "The Dragon" is known, will ensure a great show for the viewers. Lopez is confident that he has what it takes to pull off the upset against Claggett in their 8 round bout. The Mexican has fought many of the elite fighters in his division such as Jose Zepeda, Muhammadkhuja Yaqubov, Shavkatdzhon Rakhimov and Antonio Moran, among others.

The undercard will feature Thomas Chabot's fifth professional bout, as he has won 100% of his bouts before the last bell. The young Quebec prospect will face a more experienced opponent in Jose Flores Herrera (4-5-0, 1 KO). Chabot will face the biggest test of his career as he will be fighting in his first 6 round professional bout. The Thetford native will not be the only protégé of Vincent Auclair to be in action on August 27th in Mexico as Luis Santana will be in his third visit to Cuernavaca. Undefeated in 2 professional bouts, the former member of the Canadian national team will cross swords with Jose Walther Hernandez (7-8-0, 1 K.-O.) in a 4 round bout. Also, the powerful puncher and ex-Olympian, Mehmet Nadir Unal, will be in his second professional fight under EOTTM’s wings in less than a month. The one that many experts perceive as the successor of Artur Beterbiev showed us excellent skills last July against Jorge Luis Hernandez Martinez. This time, he will be facing Jair Sena (8-6-2, 6 K.-O.) in another 6 round duel. Sena already made it to the limit with the talented tiger Lexson Mathieu. He has never been knocked out and has a punching power that can do a lot of damage.

"Sena presents an interesting challenge for Nadir Unal in his second professional fight. He is very resilient, as he proved in his duel with the powerful Lexson Mathieu. It will be intriguing to see how Unal will stop his opponent", explains the Turkish fighter's coach, Marc Ramsay.

Avery Martin-Duval will also be in action as he takes on Esteban Hernandez Arroyo (2-2.1) in a 4 round bout. The powerful featherweight will be back in the ring with the desire to not let the judges make a decision, he faced his first draw in his last visit to Mexico. Montreal's Christopher Guerrero will face Mexico's Jose Gutierrez Bolanos (0-1-0) in a 4 round fight at 154 pounds while Mark Smither will want to keep his perfect record against Roberto Gonzalez Robledo (3-3-0, 2 KOs). In addition, the spectacular twins Angel and Antonio Perez will once again make the trip to Mexico as they take on Jesus Ricardo Perez Gonzalez (2-3-0, 2 KO's) and Ismael Aviles (1-1-0) respectively. The skilled twin brothers will be boxing in two different divisions as Angel will fight a 4 round duel at 145 pounds and Antonio will also fight for 4 rounds at 140 pounds.
