  Christian Gonzalez Dethrones Adrian Curiel

On the premiere of “Boxeo EstrellaTV” last night, Cristian "Chicharito" González became the new WBC FECARBOX (World Boxing Council Federacion Centroamericana de Boxeo Professional) Flyweight Champion by beating Adrián "Gato" Curiel by majority decision. The judges scored the match 94-96, 95-95, and 94-96. The fights were held at The Fit Center in Mexico City at a closed-door/no audience event. “Boxeo EstrellaTV” is a monthly live broadcast boxing series held on the last Friday of each month from 10:00 pm to midnight ET/PT on EstrellaTV.

The evening was mandated by the Government of Mexico City's protocols and the Boxing Commission of Mexico City.

Results of the undercard matches:

· In the semi-final match, Miguel "Felino" Ramírez returned to victory by beating Raúl Apolonio Salas by technical knockout at the start of the third round, in a six-round in Super Gallo (Super Bantam) weight fight.

· In a Flyweight six-round fight, Iván Armando García could not keep up with Edwin "Canito" Cano, who took victory by technical knockout at the start of the fifth round, further extending his winning streak.

· Miguel Angel Jiménez lost to Alexis de la Cruz Martínez, who prevailed by split decision 37-38, 38-37, and 36-39, fight in the Welterweight division in four rounds.

· Leonardo Dalí Anguiano beat Edgar Méndez Rocha 38-37, 38-37 and 38-37 by unanimous decision.

· Brandon Máximo Muñoz had the knockout of the night at 49 seconds in the first round besting Carlos Martínez Cabrera.

The “Boxeo EstrellaTV” schedule is April 30, May 28, June 25, July 30, August 27, September 24, October 29, November 26, and December 31 on EstrellaTV. EstrellaTV can be seen on most major cable carriers and streamed everywhere on Samsung TV+, The Roku Channel, Xumo, and FuboTV. The series is produced by Producciones Deportivas and directed by Ricardo Maldonado Jr.
