Statement From Oscar De La Hoya On Alejandra Jimenez Testing Positive For Banned Substances
"It is extremely unfortunate to learn that WBC and WBO Super Middleweight World Champion Alejandra Jimenez (13-0-1, 9 KOs) has tested positive for banned substances after her title fight with Franchon Crews-Dezurn (6-2, 2 KOs) on January 11," said Oscar De La Hoya, Chairman and CEO of Golden Boy. "As Franchon's promoter, we are incredibly disappointed for her as she worked incredibly hard to defend her titles. However, our job is to ensure the safety of our fighters both inside and outside of the ring. Thus, we have always insisted and supported testing through the Voluntary Anti-Doping Association (VADA) for all of our world championship fights. Jimenez's fight against Franchon Crews-Dezurn is no exception. Now our job is to find justice for Franchon by working closely with the WBC and the WBO in order to re-instate her as a world champion."

Boxing fans have been calling for it, Long Island has been waiting for it, and CLETUS "THE HEBREW HAMMER" SELDIN (Shirley, Long Island 24-1 20KO'S) couldn't be more ready to make his ring return, back where it all began, at The Paramount, on February 28, at "Rockin' Fights."

Seldin is coming off the biggest win of his career, when he stopped boxing legend, and multi-time world champion, ZAB "SUPER" JUDAH (Brooklyn, NY 44-10 30KO's) in June of 2019 at Turning Stone Resort Casino during the coveted Hall of Fame boxing event. Over eleven dominating rounds, Seldin hurt Judah badly in the third, finding success in relentless pressure, culminating in an eleventh-round stoppage as Seldin, an underdog to the former world champ, earned the NABA Super Lightweight Title. With the victory Seldin entered back into the World ratings (#11 WBA, #12 IBF).

There's nothing better than opening my email and finding correspondence from one of our ardent fans. I can’t think of a better way to kick off 2020 than to answer a letter from one of our faithful readers. Even better the letter comes from our good friend Nick who lives in my favorite city on the face of the planet, Montreal. Check out what Nick had to say:
Hi Billy,

Can you do us a favor and get up earlier so that us easterners can read your comments sooner? LOL! I am sure I speak for all of us when I say we prefer your take on the fights. It’s rare that I disagree with your point of view. Do you think Williams can come back? Very few fighters know when to take a knee or hold properly after being hurt.

Warm Regards,
Nick
