Hovhannesyan Sends Navarette Out On Stretcher

By William Trillo

With a devastating left hook at 1:21 of round 1 undefeated lightweight Artyom Hovhannesyan (9-0-1, 4KO's) sent journeyman Adrian Naverette (18-7-1, 14 KO's) down with a thud and before the dust settled referee Raul Caiz waved the fight off and promptly called in attending paramedics to come to the aid of the fallen fighter.

Things were scary for a few minutes as it appeared Navarette was not moving but after he was whisked out of the ring he showed movement in his hands and eyes. Our prayers go out to Navarette and we hope for a speedy recovery.

Another first round KO came at the hands of Fa' Amanu Pritchard who Ko'd Mark Rodriguez with solid left hooks at the 1:59 mark. Both fighters were making their pro debut.

Super Featherweights Richard Ellis (4-3) vs. Luis Martinez (1-2) battled to a hard fought and exciting majority decision draw.

A full set of MMA fights also entertained the crowd along with the All Star Ring Card Girl beauties.
