Edison "Pantera" Miranda (32-4, 28 KO's), who will be taking on Francisco Sierra (20-2, 19 KO's) this Thursday in Leemore Ca., made it clear that he is ready to take Jermain Taylor's place in SHOWTIME's "Super Six World Boxing Classic". "I think Taylor should take a rest after his loss to Abraham and give me the opportunity to fight in his place.", said Miranda. "I fought Abraham twice already and everyone knows I beat him the first time. It's one to one and I deserve another shot. I would knock him out if we meet again. Taylor has now lost 4 out of his last 5 fights and did not belong with these others fighters in the first place. He is just going to get knocked out again."

Miranda will be getting into the ring for the first time since his loss to Andre Ward this past May. This time with renowned trainer Joe Goossen. "He isn't the same fighter as before is he?", asked Joe after some heavy sparring that included a very busy Miranda, adding more left hooks to his assault. "He didn't have that left hook before. Against Ward, he was focusing on the right hand too much and just not busy enough. Now look at him."

Miranda also expressed his feelings on the upcoming Lucian Bute vs. Librado Andrade rematch: "It's going to be a tough fight. We are next in line and ready for the winner. Librado knocked him out the first time, everyone knows, but Bute got lucky with the referee. If he does it again, I am ready to knock him out after. We want that fight."

A preliminary fight has also been mentioned, but nothing has been set, for a rematch between Miranda and Allan Green, with the winner possibly joining the tournament, in place of Taylor. "I beat him already the first time. I will finish him quicker if we have a rematch."

Miranda vs. Sierra takes place this Thursday, October 22nd at the Tachi Palace Hotel & Casino, in Lemoore, California for the vacant WBO & NABO Super Middleweight titles.
