In a very exiting featherweight battle at the A La Carte Pavilion in Tampa, Florida winner of eight straight fights Carlos “El Rayo” Rivera (16-3-2, 5 KO’s) from Port Richey, Fl. Out classed veteran Alex “Ali” Baba (26-15-1, 19 KO’s) in a eight rounds to get the unanimous decision.


The event in Association with StarFight Productions and fight Factory, Rivera put on a show of hard fought boxing in front of his home crowd, Baba was gain to exchange with Rivera but could not match the quickness in the in side and out side of Rivera who was clearly dominating with great body shots and consistent attacks throughout the match. 


Rivera way over due for a title shot continues to make a hard statement in the featherweight division. On hand to support Rivera the WBO World Champion Miguel Cotto, Former Lightweight Champion Nate Campbell and Farmer Super Middleweight Champion Jeff Lacy on hand tonight.



 Middleweight Marcus Upshaw (10-3-1, 4 KO’s) from Jacksonville, Fl. Waited no time stopping Ashandi “Mr. Brixx” Gibbs (10-1, 4 KO’s) handing him his first loss in his pro carrier as referee Dennis DeBon jumps in at .26 of the 4th round TKO.



 Belt holder for the NBA Junior Cruiserweight title Nicholas Iannuzzi goes to 11-0, 9 KO’s, against Hilario Guzman in his 3rd fight of the year breaking a two win streak by loosing 60-53 on all three judges cards.



It is all smiles for featherweight Jenna “Cow Girl” Shiver (9-4-1, 2 KO’s) as she takes the unanimous decision against tuff Lucia Larcinese, 60-54 on all three judges scorecards.



 Heavyweight Wilmer Vazquez goes to (8-0-1, 4 KO’s) by stopping Otis Tisdale (25-23, 15 KO’s) who continues his landslide of five losses in a row. Vazquez demolished Tisdale in .15 seconds of the 3rd round.
