Thurman Added To Ballroom Brawl
By Damon Gonzalez
Tampa, FL: One Punch Productions and Fight Factory
Promotions are pleased to announce that undefeated
welterweight prospect Keith "One Time" Thurman has been
added to the November 6th Ballroom Brawl in Tampa, FL.
Thurman (10-0, 10 KO's) resides in St. Petersburg and is
trained by legendary trainer Dan Birmingham.
"Dan and Shelly Finkel (Finkel manages Thurman) worked
really hard to make this happen, and without their efforts
this wouldn't have been possible" said One Punch Productions
CEO Terry J. Trekas. "When Lenroy Thomas unfortunately had
to be removed from the show, we knew we needed something
explosive to take his place. What's more explosive than a
10-0 guy with 10 knockouts, with 8 of those knockouts coming
in the first round?. It doesn't get much more explosive than
that" added Trekas.
Also added to the card is Tampa cruiserweight Nick "The
Showstopper" Iannuzzi (12-1, 7 KO's). Iannuzzi is coming off
a shocking TKO loss to Harvey Jolly that occurred on Sept
19. "I was thinking that Nick would probably take the rest
of the year off after the Jolly fight, but he made it clear
to me that what happened in September was a fluke, and that
he wanted to fight on this card to show everyone what he is
really made of" commented Trekas.
The Ballroom Brawl! undercard features the best and
brightest up and coming talent in the region. St. Petersburg
jr. middleweight Manny Woods (1-0), jr. lightweight Cordaro
Simpkins (2-0), Tampa heavyweight Lamar Davis (3-1),
undefeated Ft. Myers brothers Quinton Willis (4-0) and
Marcus Willis (3-0), as well as Tampa welterweight Ray
Cepeda (1-0) will all see action on that last fight card in
the Tampa Bay area for 2009.
The event takes place at the beautiful downtown Tampa Hyatt
Regency on Friday November 6. Doors open at 7pm, and the
action starts at 7:30pm.
