Tampa, FL - The IBF
Light Welterweight Champion Juan "Iron Twin" Urango
(22-2, 17 KO's) gets a charge of support in training
camp at the Fight Factory in Tampa, Florida. after
banging 8 straight hard tuff rounds with contender Gato
Figueroa from New York, Urango looking great in camp in
his preparation for Devon Alexander (19-0, 12 KO's) set
for the IBF and WBC titles on the line at the Mohegan
Sun Casino in Conn. Promoted by Warrior Promotions and
Don King Productions.
Trainers for Urango
legendary Florida trainer Pete Fernandez comments on
Urango "I know that he is ready when I got the call from
Warrior to take on helping Urango, I just knew that it
would be a great fit". Juan style remains the same but
he is pushing and really hitting hard, I am glad for
myself that I am out of the promoters end of boxing it
is such a joy for me to work with this guy he is
sincerely blessed and ready to go March 6th. His
sparring with Gato man they have been steady and going
add it in a very productive way, We also bring in Danny
O'connor to work with Juan and he is getting great
preparation hands down.
Friend and Trainer Anthony Wilson looks on and comments
on Urango, "There is no question Juan is ready his speed
is great and looks strong we are on track, I know
Alexander will be in the fight for his life, Juan game
plan is clear and on track".
Amazingly at 47 yrs of
age Hector "Macho Man" Camacho (79-5, 38 KO's) is still
going strong as he prepares for Denmark's Allen Vester
(28-6, 5 KO's) for the vacant WPBF Middleweight title at
Arena Midt in Kjellerup, Denmark.
Camacho really should
not be taking lightly in this up and coming bout set for
March 26th. He took and gave a consistent demonstration
of work by Gato Figueroa who did not led up at all on
Macho Man, Camacho loved the hard work so much invited
Gato to continue to work with him in Denmark for the
final preparations.
Fight Factory had the
pleasure with working with the New York Yankees Robinson
Cano for the shooting of "Yankees on Deck" a show that
will be airing on the Yes Network May 2nd. Trainer Pete
Fernandez applies the wraps on Cano who was extremely
exited to get a upper cardio work out that clearly
weights different from his normal baseball training.
Exited to say the least
Cano gets a lesson in pad work with Pete Fernandez, Cano
a sincere fan of Boxing really enjoying the work out,
hitting the heavy bag, speed bag and tips from coach
Fernandez.
