Tampa, Florida – On Thursday morning there was heavy thundershower down pour at Clearwater Breach in Clearwater, Florida. The roar of thunder and lightning flashes did not cancel the schedule run taken on the beach by Cuban sensation Yuriorkis “ The Cyclone of Guantanamo” Gamboa (18-0, 15 KO’s).
Gamboa not waiting any time putting in a hard work ethic at the Fight Factory Camp in Tampa, Florida.

Trainer Ismael Sala and strength trainer Delcidas Diaz makes preparations for Gamboa as he prepares for sparring with Javier Castro (24-2, 19 KO’s). Gamboa very humble at camp jumped inside the ring and cracked with Castro a solid 10 rounds.

I witnessed a very aggressive display of sparring form both fighters, Castro came in and with his long arms tried to create trouble for Gamboa that was not having any part of it, Gamboa showed a level of quickness and combinations and speed in the inside hitting Casto with some great shots for the coming forward Castro who did not lead up at all giving Gamboa solid hard work.

Fight Factory Owner Pete Fernandez very deleted with having Team Gamboa work at the Fight Factory, there is no distractions here and they are very happy.

Gamboa very happy with camp and very focused at this time preparing to execute against Orlando Salido (34-10, 22 KO’s) at the Palms Resort and Casino in Las Vegas on September 11th Promoted by Top Rank, Inc.
