Manny Pacquiao-Joshua Clottey
On March 13?
Top Rank Facebook Says Yes!

Top Rank has announced on their Facebook page that Manny
Pacquiao will defend the WBO welterweight title in a very
intriguing fight on March 13 against Joshua Clottey.
Details are sketchy at best but just thinking out loud I
like the fight and think it has possibilities. First off
there is the obvious Top Rank connection for both fighters
so the fight should be easy to make. Second, poor Clottey
had his share of fights fall out last year so maybe this is
Top Ranks way of paying him back for a difficult year.
Third, Clottey is a beast with a great set of whiskers and
should be a good test for Manny.
No venue is mentioned but if the fight takes place I
wouldn't be surprised to see Las Vegas as the odds on
favorite but at this point it's anyone's guess. Personally I
think this is a better scrap for the fans than the Yuri
Foreman fight that was being rumored and I hope it goes
down.
I heard that Clottey was offered up to Floyd Mayweather Jr.
as well but negotiations fell through when Floyd wanted
Clottey to take an impromptu field sobriety test
..................JUST KIDDING!
