Super Middleweight Ronald Gavril (1-0, 1KO) defeated Gilbert Gastanum (0-3-1) Thursday night in Costa Mesa to get the win in his pro debut. With James Toney working his corner the Romanian fighter Gavril boxed for the first two rounds and then let his hands go in round three and stopped Gastanum at the 2:11 mark of the third round.
