TAMPA,FL-In a sold out crowd at the A La Carte Pavilion in Tampa the new flyweight WBC USNBC Champion Daniel Lozano remains undefeated at (10-0,7KO’s) by stopping Yonathan Arias (10-8,10KO’s) at 1:09 of 2nd round. Arias started off strong bringing the fight into close quarters by exchanging sharp short hard hooks in the inside with Lozano who matched every shot with a power shot of his own. In two I was looking for Arias to use his size and bring the fight tall to Lozano in which he went back inside to exchange with the harder punching Lozano who caught Arias flush with an over hand left that dropped Arias to the canvas. Lozano quickly fired shots in round two to Arias fighting in survival mode at this point dropping him again for the final stoppage by the referee Dennis DeBon.

In the co main-event Charlie “The Beast” Serrano (12-2, 3KO’s) in a featherweight clash with Jessy Cruz (4-3, 1KO). Quick start for Jessy Cruz keeping his punches sharp to the coming in Serrano, in two Serrano lands a hard straight right to the face of the faster Cruz that would not led up on Serrano who appeared un balanced. In 3 Serrano found his balance and launched a hard attack on the gain Cruz to the head and body as Serrano rally’s in the 3rd. In the round Cruz patiently landing hooks on Serrano catches him with a hard straight left that sends Serrano back momentarily, Serrano responds quickly with a mirage of punches in a attack of his own that pulled out the round. At this point Cruz is allowing Serrano to dictate the pace of the fight, Cruz punches have slowed down a left hook to the body of Cruz in the 6th put Cruz on a bike staying out of harm’s way. Serrano wins by unanimous decision 58-56 in all 3 judges’ cards.

In the opening bout of the night Middleweights undefeated local fighter Marquis Davis (3-0, 3 KO) jumps on Terrence Anderson (2-6) early with body shots and consistent blows to Anderson’s head, Anderson looking winded got his respect in round two getting off the better shots in the round pressuring Davis into a brawl, Davis was deducted a point for a low blow. Davis got his hands full in a toe to toe fight with Anderson who would not lead up on Davis. All three judges scored 37-37 a draw, Davis 2 fouls in the fight were the difference.

Middleweights turf war Manny Woods in a great match up with Inka Laleye first round a feel out counter punching round for both fighters, Both fighters got there due in round 2 with Laleye working the jab nice Woods having nothing of it cutting the ring getting inside, throwing bombs to Laleye head it appeared Laleye did not prepare for such a pressure attack by Woods tonight. In final round Woods landed a over hand right that staggered Laleye momentarily easily giving Woods the final rd. judges scored 59-55 and 57-57 twice to a Majority draw. I had Woods by a round.
