Allan Green: "If St-Juste Wants
A Violent Fight, It Will Be Great"

MONTRÉAL ---- The Montrealer southpaw Renan St-Juste and the
American Allan Green are both explosive punchers. They will
be face to face Saturday evening in the ring of Bell Centre.
They will be involved in the most important preliminary bout
of this boxing show organized by InterBox, just before the
fight Bute-Grachev. This card can be seen at

“It is a crucial fight for me,” said St-Juste. “I want to
get back my place in the Top 10 in the world, it is the
perfect opportunity. Green has been involved in the Super
Six tournament, and he floored Mikkel Kessler last spring in
Denmark (Kessler came back and won the fight by TKO). I got
to take him very seriously. But I know what I got to do to
win that bout.”
St-Juste does not want anymore think and talk about his last
bout, a loss by TKO against the American Anthony Dirrell in
a WBC super middleweight elimination fight. Green, a fighter
from Tulsa, Oklahoma, is boxing in Montréal for the first
time of his career. “I don't know if St-Juste wants an open
fight, a violent fight, by the fact he is boxing in front on
his fans, but if it is the case, it will be absolutely great
for me,” said Green. “I am taller than him, and I am bigger
man than him, and I am a dangerous puncher. The more the
fight will be open, the more I will have the chance to place
my power shots. And here, I will certainly be more
comfortable in the ring than I was in my last bouts. Why?
This time, I will fight at my natural weight. I am not a
natural super middleweight, as you know, but a natural light
heavyweight. You will see, when I am fighting in the light
heavyweight, I hit harder and I am very energetic.” St-Juste
(23-3-1) and Green (31-4-0) have been both agreed to fight
in the light heavyweight division for this 10 rounds bout.
The welterweight Mikael Zewski (16-0-0), from Trois-Rivières,
the super flyweight Sébastien Gauthier (22-3-0), from
Saint-Jérôme, the light heavyweight Schiller Hyppolite
(5-0-0), from Montréal, the welterweight Sébastien Bouchard
(3-0-0), from Québec City, the heavyweight Bogdan Dinu
(7-0-0), from Rumania, and the lightweight Michael Gadbois
(7-0-0), from Saint-Hyacinthe, will be involved in the
others bouts.
Zewski will face the Mexican Cesar Chavez (20-2-0) in a
eight rounds bout. “ I had good preparation, and it was a
must in the circumstances,” said Zewksi. “Chavez is
certainly the biggest challenge of my pro boxing career. I
won often by KO so far, but it is very possible that I will
have to fight for eight round this time.”
Gauthier also, will have a solid opponent. He will face the
former WBO champion of the world, the Mexican Rodrigo
Guerrero (17-4-1). “I have the feeling that our bout will be
the fight of the evening, said Gauthier. "When InterBox
suggested me Guerrero as opponent, I said yes with no
hesitation. I am a veteran now, and I want to fight the
biggest names of the super flyweight or bantamweight
divisions.” Last December, in Québec City, Gauthier lost a
close decision against another former world champion, the
Canadian Steve Molitor.
Hyppolite will meet Francy N'Tetu (7-0-0), from Saguenay;
Bouchard will fight Glissandy Mejia (3-0-0), from Terrebonne
(Montréal suburb); Dinu will have as opponent Éric Martel
(7-2-0), from Québec City; and Gadbois will challenge the
veteran Mexican Pedro Navarrete (28-16-3).
