Against Bizier, Campbell Could
Replace O'Donnell

MONTRÉAL - The British southpaw John O'Donnell was supposed
to arrive in Montréal Monday, but he cancelled his trip
Monday. Commonwealth champion from 2009 to 2011, O'Donnell
(27-2-0), who was supposed to fight Kevin Bizier (19-0-0),
from Québec City, in a welterweight NABA North American
championship bout February 8th at Bell Centre in Montréal,
stopped his training last week-end in London, because a
serious injury.
Tuesday, the promoter of the GYM Group, Yvon Michel, was
negotiating with the veteran Nate Campbell (36-9-1), a boxer
from Jacksonville, Florida, who is a former WBA, WBO and IBF
lightweight champion of the world. If Campbell confirms in
the next hours he is accepting to face Bizier in Montréal
February 8th, the GYM Group will make an announcement
Wednesday. Bizier, who is ranked 5th contender by the WBA in
the welterweight division, is the star of this boxing show,
the first show of the series “Rapides et Dangereux” (Fast
and Dangerous) presented this year by the GYM Group.
