Mayweather Outclasses Guerrero
On Every Level

It took Floyd Mayweather Jr. (44-0, 26 KO’s) the first two
rounds to shake the rust and that was about all the time
Robert Guerrero (31-2-1,1 8 KO’s) had to get the job done
because once Floyd dusted off the cobwebs it was over. "The Ghost"
Guerrero had his chance in the first few minutes but they
were gone in a flash, never to be seen again. Floyd's right
hand leads were landing with accuracy and for all the
pressure he was putting on Mayweather he could not land his
big shots. As Guerrero said after the fight, "He was barely
slipping by my punches. He is better than I thought."
Floyd started off the fight a little flat footed and let
Guerrero feel like he was in the battle but once Mayweather
settled in he started landing crisp right hands at a rapid
clip and from that point on it was all Floyd all the time.
The Ghost did not disappear throughout the fight and he gave
it his best but he just did not have the skills to go blow
for blow with Mayweather.
Offensively and defensively Floyd painted a masterpiece as
he held Guerrero's punches landed percentage to around 20%
while he was landing his shots off "The Ghost's" face at a
60% rate. You cant argue with those numbers. You also can't
argue with the blood that was streaming down Guerrero's face
in the mid-rounds, he was getting thoroughly outclassed and
beat on every level. Final scores all in favor of Mayweather
were 117-111 across the board, no one argued with the tally.
Love him or hate him you can't argue with an undefeated
record and it looks like his campaign as boxing's
Pound4Pound king will not be coming to an end anytime soon.
With a date secured in September it looks like boxing will
be treated to another great Mexican holiday that will once
again be spearheaded by The Pretty Boy.
