Pascal-Bute Rescheduled For
December 7 Or January 25

MONTRÉAL - The Montréal promoters Yvon Michel, from the GYM
Group, and Jean Bédard, from InterBox, have contacted the
HBO authorities Monday afternoon to rescheduled the famous
local fight between the Montrealers Jean Pascal (27-2-1) and
Lucian Bute (31-1-0).Michel and Bédard have two dates
potentials for HBO: December 7th or January 25th.These two
dates are open for the Bell Centre, which could draw over
23,000 boxing fans for this event. HBO should give them a
response pretty soon.
This NABF light heavyweight championship was supposed to be
presented May 25th at Bell Centre, but few days ago, Bute
stopped his training in Miami, because a serious injury to
the left hand. Former IBF super middleweight champion of the
world, Bute, who is associated to InterBox, had a surgery to
take out bone's fragments. He should be able to restart his
training in September.
Pascal, the former WBC light heavyweight champion of the
world, hopes to fight somewhere this summer, to be better
prepared to face Bute at the end of the year or the
beginning of next year.
Pascal will have a discussion about that with Yvon Michel
this week.
