Stevenson vs. Cloud Sept. 28 In
Montreal

MONTRÉAL - According different sources, Yvon Michel, the
boss of the GYM Group and the promoter of Adonis Stevenson,
and Don King, the promoter of Tavoris Cloud, have finalized
a deal to present a fight between these two fighters in
September.
Stevenson (21-1-0), apparently has officially accepted to
make the first defense of his WBC light heavyweight crown
against Cloud (24-1-0) September 28th at Bell Centre in
Montréal. Michel and King should confirmed the news next
week, and confirmed that HBO will televise the fight.
Cloud lost his IBF crown to the veteran Bernard Hopkins
(53-6-2) March 9th in Atlantic City, with a defeat by
unanimous decision. Stevenson, on his side, caused a real
commotion June 8th at Bell Centre, in
dethroning Chad Dawson (32-2-0) with a victory by TKO in the
first round.
