Bute Ready To Fight Julio Cesar

MONTRÉAL - Former IBF super middleweight champion of the
world, the Montrealer Romanian Lucian Bute could make a come
back in the ring in the summer. Bute (31-2-0) is ready to
face the former WBC super middleweight champion of the
world, the Mexican Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. (48-2-1). But
Chavez could be available only at the end of the summer or
the beginning of the fall.
At his last bout, April 18th in Carson City, California,
Chavez lost by TKO in the 9th round against the American
Polish Andrzej Fonfara (27-3-0).
Bute did not fight since January 18th 2014. That night, at
Bell Centre in Montréal, he lost by unanimous decision in 12
rounds in a NABF light heavyweight North American
championship opposing him to another Montrealer, Jean Pascal
(29-3-1), a former WBC light heavyweight champion of the
world.
Bute wants to return in the super middleweight division (168
pounds). He is training actually with the trainer John
Scully, who was working with Chad Dawson in the past. Like
Pascal, Dawson is a former IBF and WBC light heavyweight
champion of the world.
