Carlos "The Solution" Morales
Interview;
Featured On Golden Boy Card Tonight

Tonight at the Belasco Theater in Los Angeles Golden Boy
Promotions will put on another fine local show for
California boxing fans. Featured on the undercard will be
the young Super Feather weight Carlos Morales (9-1-3, 3
KO’s) vs. hot Puerto Rican prospect O’Nell Negron (11-1-2, 8
KO’s). On the scheduled eight round bout Morales says, “It’s
another Mexico vs. Puerto Rico match. The winner will be the
one who trained the hardest. This is an 8 round fight and I
am looking forward to putting on a great performance.”
All was not rosy to start for Morales who began his career
with a loss followed by three draws. Since that time he has
put together 11 straight wins. When asked to reflect on his
first bouts and what he learned Morales stated, “What I
learned is you have to take boxing seriously, it’s not a
game. I knew if I wanted to do this I would have to grow up
and mature or find something else to do. After that I knew I
had to step up, I switched trainers, the whole team. I put
the past in the past and started to prepare for the future.
If you train hard and take boxing serious you can go far.
Since then I have won 11 in a row.”
I couldn’t help but ask about his nickname, “The Solution”,
and how he got that moniker. Morales shared, “It was given
to me by my former trainer because when new fighters came to
gym I was always the one he picked to spar them. He said if
you can hold your own with him then you are for real, that’s
why they call me “The Solution”.
Tonight in Los Angeles we will find out if Morales will
indeed have a solution for the hard hitting Negron.
The Belasco Theater doors open at 5pm. The first fight & the
Ring TV live stream begins at 5:30pm and the Estrella “Boxeo
Estelar” live telecast begins at 7pm.
