Camille Estephan: "Lemieux vs.
N’jikam Will Happen Like Expected"

MONTRÉAL - The Montrealer promoter-manager Camille Estephan,
the boss of the Eye Of The Tiger Management Group, said the
IBF middleweight championship of the world opposing the
Montrealer David Lemieux and the French Hassan N’Dam N’Jikam
scheduled for May, will happen like expected.
Wednesday afternoon, the GYM Group, led by the promoter Yvon
Michel in Montréal, confirmed a civil court suit of $1.35
million against Lemieux, Estephan, Golden Boy Promotions
organization and the network HBO.
The GYM Group lawyers are alleging that Lemieux and Estephan
signed a deal with Golden Boy Promotions and HBO in
December, without an attempt of negotiations with GYM, the
organization which invested money and time during seven
years for Lemieux, who became a pro boxing fighter in 2007.
GYM is claiming $1.35 million in damages and bad intentions
from Lemieux and Estephan.
“David’s contract with the GYM Group was expired when we
signed deals with Golden Boy Promotions and HBO, said
Estephan Thursday morning. Our lawyers are taking care of
the file. On our side, we still work to organize the IBF
vacant middleweight championship of the world between David
and N’Jikam in May. The fight Lemieux-N’Jikam will happen
like expected, and the Québec Superior Court will eventually
decides which groups in right and wrong in that suit.”
