This past weekend Daniel "Twitch" Franco (11-0-3, 7 KO’s)
defeated Jonathan Alcantara with an eight round unanimous
decision win on the big Andre ward vs. Paul Smith card
promoted by ROC Nation. This was Franco’s first fight with
his new promoter.
Pound4Pound reached out to the Southern California boxing
card and got his thoughts on the event.
Pound4Pound: Please tell us about your first appearance on a
Roc Nation card.
Daniel Franco: It was awesome, my team and I were well taken
care of. This was my first time fighting on a bigger stage,
and it was very exciting. I look forward to being on bigger
and bigger events.
P4P: How was this different than your previous bouts?
DF: This was my first time fighting on a bigger stage, and
it was very exciting. I look forward to being on bigger and
bigger events.
P4P: What are the memories you will always remember from
this fight?
DF: This was my first eight round fight. It was nice to be
able to set a fast pace and test my conditioning. I feel
like I will become a great 12 round fighter in the future.
Some of the things I'll always remember about this fight is
the whole experience. The event was nothing like I've ever
been to before. The crowd, the celebrities, the live musical
performance, the city, the sound system inside the Oracle
Arena, it was all so surreal.
P4P: When can you fans expect to see you in action again?
DF: I will be in action within the next few months. Whatever
my promoter has in mind, I'm game for.
P4P: Any closing thoughts?
DF: I want to thank Rocnation for doing an amazing job on
this event and giving me such a great opportunity. Id like
