Apparently Haymon Has Decided
To
Create His Owns World Titles Fights

MONTRÉAL – The boxing manager-negotiator Al Haymon, who made
a deal with CBS for his series Premier Boxing Champions, has
decided to create PBC world titles crowns. The PBC world
titles would compete the WBC, WBA, WBO and IBF world titles
crowns.
Apparently, Haymon talked with lawyers to see the
possibility to create his owns world championships,
everything seemed OK, and he has decided to go on with this
project.
According different sources, the Premier Boxing Champions
belts will be made in England in the next weeks.
Now, Haymon refused to confirm that his world titles will be
exclusive for his Premier Boxing Champions series, like it
is for the UFC ultimate fights.
If it’s the case, no WBC, WBA, WBO and IBF world
championship fights would be presented on the Haymon's
boxing shows series.
Last Saturday afternoon in the ring of the Québec City
Colisée, the Montrealer southpaw Adonis Stevenson (26-1-0)
kept his WBC light heavyweight championship of the world, in
beating the African Sakio Bika (32-7-3) by unanimous
decision in 12 rounds.
This fight, and the IBF light heavyweight elimination bout
opposing the Montrealer Russian Artur Beterbiev (8-0-0) and
the Spanish Gabriel Campillo (25-7-1), were televiseD by CBS
for the Premier Boxing Champions boxing shows series.
Beterbiev became IBF second contender in the 175 pounds
division, in beating Campillo by KO in the fourth round.
