Injured Beterbiev Off Nov. 28 Card

By Daniel Cloutier

MONTRÉAL - Ranked second contender by the IBF the WBO, third by the WBA and fourth by the WBC, the Montrealer Russian light heavyweight Artur Beterbiev will be unable to fight November 28th at the Videotron Centre in Québec City.

Beterbiev (9-0-0) inured his right shoulder in a training session few days ago.

“I went to pass a MRI test in a Montréal hospital, and they determined I need a minor injury, said Beterbiev. The Dr. David Baillargeon told me I will need a rest of a couple of months. I will be back in action in 2016.”

Beterbiev was supposed to fight the Armenian Karo Murat (27-2-1) in an IBF light heavyweight elimination bout, before the fights Bute-DeGale and Alvarez-Chilemba, but Murat, apparently, refused to sign the contract send by the GYM Group. The promoter Yvon Michel, the boss of the GYM Group, was looking for another opponent at the moment that Beterbiev got his injury.
